Smith Family Christmas Card

 We have never been very good about sending out christmas card.  This year we decided was a year to do something.  Also, I have always wanted write and perform a rap.  This christmas card was my chance. So for your viewing  pleasure: the Smith Family Christmas card:

our year has been choc full of stuff;  to you we want to tell

we’ve been think’n of the best way, maybe send it through the mail

Or put it on the internets:  a Blog or facebook post

or put in an email that gets sent from coast to coast

Wasting all this a talent would such an ugly crime

We went to work together -  put our story to a beat, 

so you can just relax and the smith fam’ly you will meet

Yo, let me introduce myself, the daddy of this clan

I’ve been busy with these kitties, makin up a plan

This year what sorta wild, stayin home most of the year, 

Coronavirus kept me in, my family was real near,

A blessing was this time, as I waited for the double, 

I was home to help them out not making any trouble. 

I tried to be productive with all this time to chill, 

After holding lots of babies, I would run to test my will, 

I also learned some spanish, Amy helped me roll, 

Ahora soy el mejor,  hablando la lengua de español, 

My newest thing is pies, make them every week oh man 

Pumpkin, apple, cherry, lemon, berry, rhubarb and pecan.

I’ve been rapping here too long, I’m not what you came to see, 

I now pass the mic to number 1, my darling sweet Amy

Amy :

I’m the sweetest, i’m the strongest, I’m the best at bustin verse, 

Yo check me out, I had some twins, i didn’t even curse, 

My free time spent on Facebook, the  market place you see

To fill our home with furniture and gifts for family.

This year we took a trip to Utah, seven of us now

Without losing single child, man we made it there somehow

And even way back when before these sweets babes i did bare

We took three kids to disney world: the princesses were there

Aside from these adventures, what I love to do it run, 

We bought a brand new treadmill so I can run for  fun. 

Though the thing I do the most is always raise my children here:

You meet them now in rap form: we’re the family of the year.

All our little kitties each will get a turn to prove their Lemma

First up is the eldest, our very special Emma

EMMA:

Emma started school, but it  wasn’t quite the same,

see a virus runs amok, making in-person school quite lame

So kindergarten happens. , from at home and from a a screen

Learning reading, writing math and  subjects in between

Always making lots of friends . around the neighborhood

Practicing her violin and piano like she should

A blog she started making, called it Emma’s violin

And singing christmas carols, it is emma for the win

So if you want a smiling girl who loves to play and sing

Emma is the one for you, happy is her thing!

Alice:

Next the number two, the sweet and spicy little sister

Dressed her very best and curly hair is like a twister

Making her debut in the pre-school, droppin rhymes,

Paintin, cuttin, colorin her artwork is sublime, 

Shes reading like a pro, does her writing while shes sitting, 

Careful to be careful, making letters, never quitting

Fashionable alice love to dress up like a doll

Blush mascara curly hair and heels, she doesn’t fall (does it all?)

Taking care of babies is her other super power

She plays her violin for them while mommy takes a shower. 

So if you want a sweet girl who is smart and pretty too, 

Alice Carol Smith is the cutie just for you

Lucy: 

Here comes LUCY, number 3, the little kitty in the middle, 

Sometimes we think she runs the show, though she is so 'widdle'

Always super good for us , ok, sometimes she’s naughty, 

But check this little two year old mastering the Potty!

Loves the color Yellow, riding scooters like a racer

We Try to catch this tiger, Her sisters try to chase her

Baby Beluga is her jam, and also baby shark, 

“What does the fox say”  : will really show her spark

Moving stools left and right to get all her kitchen needs

Helping make some cookies and feeding the babies

So if you want the feisty one whose cuddle is so sweet, 

Then choose Lucy as your DJ, she will drop your beat.

Twins:

And now the grand finale, ya know the last two make a pair, 

From the womb into the bedroom, all these things they have to share

Its olive and mabel, oh no its not a fable

These babies look the same now we need a label

They came into this world on the 21st of may

Now they are 6 months old and all they want to do is play

they also have some tricks you see, they get up on all fours, 

Though they are still very young, they can wiggle to the doors. 

They are giggly they are smiley, the tickles get them goin

Since they started eat solids, their diapers overflowin

So if you want a double dose of babies in your story

Choose the olive mabel duo to write your song with glory
