Book Review: The Name of the Wind

I finished reading "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. This is not typically the type of book I enjoy reading, and I kind of started reading it on a whim, without really knowing a lot of about it and it turned out that I really enjoying the read.  It is a fantasy book, set in a fantasy place, but I felt like it like it wan't TOO fantasy-esque.  Like there is magic, but they don't call it magic, and they treat it more like a science.  The  main character goes to college to learn about it.  But in addition to learning about magical things, they also take classes like logic, and medicine, among other stuff.  I don't know exactly what it is I liked about this hero adventure, perhaps it was the main character, or the world it is set in. I read it pretty quick because I was interested in what was happening. Unfortunately it is a series and the story stops very suddenly at the end.  I will probably even read the next one at some point.

In summary, I enjoyed this one and would recommend it.
